WELCOME AND FELLOWSHIP/FAMILY LIFE
WFFL is looking for your help! If you would be interested in:
being involved in organizing opportunities for good fellowship and good food at the church;
taking a turn preparing and serving the Sunday morning coffee;
helping out with special events or receptions at the church;
contributing baking from time to time;
being part of a committee whose enjoyable task it is to oversee the return of the social occasions we have all been missing.
Whether you have lots of time and energy, or just a little, WFFL has a place for you! Please contact Fiona Wardrop by email at: fmwardrop@hotmail.com, or leave her a message at: 514-693-1186.
There will also be a sign-up sheet at the church on Sunday morning.
Fiona thanks those who signed up last week.
VIGIL FOR UKRAINE
The church was filled with light and song and prayer last Saturday afternoon as more than 40 people gathered with Lakeshore Trinity and St. Edward the Confessor to offer prayers for peace in Ukraine and in the world. An offering of $750. was collected, to be directed to Ukrainian relief.

A TALE OF TWO BOOKS
Submitted by: “the Book Elves”
Once upon a time, a long time ago, two books arrived at St. John’s United Church. One was a colourful children’s story, and the other a best-seller fiction for adults. One found its way to the Book Nook lounge, where it found comfortable seating, a lot of inspiring literature, and even a telephone. It also found a black binder where the story book was checked in and out by the borrowers.
The other settled in the bookshelves in the hallway, where it was purchased for two dollars, the going price for a hard cover book. The church appreciated the income (retrieved from the “dove” piggy bank on the shelf) and the buyer enjoyed the pleasure of a few hours lost in the pages of a good book.
This tale never ends as the church family of Lakeshore Trinity continues to read!
