OCTOBER 1ST:

WORLDWIDE COMMUNION

NATIONAL DAY FOR TRUTH AND RECONCILIATION

This Sunday, October 1st, we observe worldwide communion, sharing with our fellow faith communities around the globe.
every child matters

We also recognize our National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, commemorating the history and legacy of residential schools. We are encouraged to wear orange shirts to promote the concept of “Every Child Matters”. The orange shirt is a symbol of the stripping away of culture, freedom and self-esteem experienced by Indigenous children over generations. We wear an orange shirt now as a symbol of repentance, hope, and healing.
